Support Marie in Her Fight with POTS

Donation protected
Hi, my names’s Nate, I’m Marie’s partner of 2 years. As many of you may know, Marie has been dealing with many neurological and physical symptoms since 2016. After two years of dealing with her mysterious illness, she was finally diagnosed with a form of dysautonomia, called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) in early 2018. POTS is a lesser-known syndrome that can cause extreme fatigue, vertigo, dizziness, migraines, nausea, blood pressure irregularities, brain fog, and many other debilitating symptoms.

Three months ago Marie became incapacitated by her symptoms and had to take medical leave from work. Due to the reality of the symptoms involved with this syndrome, Marie was on bed rest for weeks at a time, which ultimately resulted in her developing a dangerous blood clot in her jugular vein. Marie was hospitalized for seven days at the end of January. She has many follow up appointments scheduled for both POTS and her DVT (blood clot). DVTs take 3-6 months to dissolve and unfortunately comes with its own set of neurological symptoms due to the constriction of blood flow to the brain.

Marie is currently unable to drive, walk, or sit up comfortably for periods longer than ten minutes. Work is not possible at this time in her recovery. She has exhausted her medical leave with partial pay through short term disability and is seeking financial help to cover health insurance dues as well as paying her standard monthly bills until she is able to work again.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
