Support Maricela's Cancer Battle

Hello,

It’s impossible not to ask why do bad things happen to good people. This story is the definition of that statement. Maricela is a 25-year-old fighting Cancer while trying to work full time.

EVERYONE will tell you that this young woman is the most kind, selfless, thoughtful person you could ever meet. She is an amazing teacher assistant and cares for some of the most challenged students in her district. She is my best friend and an aunt to some wonderful kids. If you haven’t met her, I guarantee you’d love her just as much as we do!

We found out Mari was pregnant on 12/18/2023, which would be the start of our own little family, aside from our dogs! Unfortunately, the pregnancy turned into a "complete molar" miscarriage. We were told this was very rare and complex and dangerous. Two hospitals and two DNC surgeries later, the doctors have done everything they could.

On 3/8/2024 Mari received her first round of chemotherapy; she has a starting amount of 9 rounds which could grow but we pray this is all she will need.
