My name is Chrissie Giroux, and I am starting this Go Fund Me page for my dear friend, Lisa Desfonds. Lisa has just been diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Cancer. For those of you who know Lisa, you know that she is the first to help anyone in need. She is a valued member of this community who has worked at Kelly’s Landing, Stressfree Moose, and Northwoodsexpressions Outfitters. In addition to these great local establishments, she also cleans and does home healthcare for a local elderly lady. She does this quietly and selflessly, never looking for attention or praise. Lisa is one of the most genuine and authentic people there is. She is always quick to help others but never one to ask when she needs it. Lisa’s diagnosis is going to present so many challenges: emotionally, physically, and financially. She does not have healthcare coverage, and she will be accruing medical bills for ongoing tests and treatments, as well as travel expenses. She will be unable to keep steady work while she navigates this journey. I am asking if you can spare any amount for this amazing person. It will be appreciated more than words can express. If you can’t spare a few dollars, even sparing a moment to share Lisa’s story would be appreciated.
