Support Lexie's Cancer Recovery Journey

I never thought I’d find myself writing a post like this, especially not for my best friend but here we are. Lexie has had a very interesting year to say the least with back to back hits from the universe the worst one being a lil dose of cancer. She’s undergone a few procedures most recent being less than a week ago. She’s in good spirits and insists it could be worse but instead of settling in to recover, she’s been pushing herself to get back to work due to her job not covering her sick leave. She’s was told she needs to take 6 weeks and she’s planning to start back at work no less than 1 week later in order to make sure she can eat and keep the lights on. A couple months ago, she brought her car in for repairs just for the dealership to refuse to give it back. (There’s more to it but long story short they bullied her into giving them her car and she ended up needing to buy a new one.) she went out today to pick up her medication just for someone to hit the car that she just bought less than a month ago. For the rest of her life, she’s going to be on medication that is $300 out of pocket every month, not including the routine visits she’s going to have to make to her oncologist.

She would never ask, in fact I blocked her from even seeing this because I know she’d tell everyone not to worry about her. But as her best friend & her life long soulmate I cannot watch her struggle without at least trying to help however I can.

If you know her, you know she’d give the shirt off her back, she’d give you a ride with her last bit of gas, and she’d feed you if it was using the last $5 she had.

If you have an extra dollar to spare to help cover at least another week off for recovery or even help with food to get her to the next day I promise it’s going to a good cause.

I got her to send me her cashapp code, I figured this would be a little easier than gofund me and probably a lot less stressful for her when she finds out
