Support Larisa's Journey to Wrestling Nationals
Doação protegida
My name is Tony Cota, On behalf of my Daughter Larisa Cota, we are asking for your support to help send Lala to the 2024 Wrestling National Championships in Fargo North Dakota. Lala has worked hard all year round finding herself on the winners podium in every competition she has attended earning her the opportunity to represent the state of Arizona at the biggest and most prestigious wrestling tournament in the U.S. With girls wrestling being the fastest growing sport in the world top wrestlers in all 50 states will come together for 8 days of some of the most toughest competition to date. Many college coaches and recruiters attend this tournament giving many of these wrestlers an opportunity to further their education as well as their wrestling career.
Larisa has not only distinguished herself on the mat as one of the toughest female wrestlers but also in the class room maintaining straight A’s since the 1st grade and maintaining a 4.0 GPA and attending AP classes.
last year lala dislocated her elbow during competition. An injury that would normally set any athlete back she didn’t quit and kept training doing what she could to continue to grow and progress as a wrestler. This year while wrestling in Utah at the U.S. western regionals lala re-injured her arm. Bad enough we didn’t believe she could make it to nationals this year. However after X-rays, MRI’s and lala’s determination to healing and getting stronger she’s been cleared to wrestle at Nationals.
Unfortunately, there are many expenses associated with an opportunity like this. Travel to and from North Dakota, lodging for the duration of the tournament, tournament entry fees, Team Arizona uniform and gear, meals and other miscellaneous costs. With the competition right around the corner and very little time for her to raise money through other means and fund raisers we are asking for your help. Anything helps and is appreciated. Lala has given so much of herself and worked hard to get to where she is at and we don’t want her to miss out on this incredible opportunity to showcase her talent and hard work. Thank you all in Advance your support is greatly appreciated.
