Cancer is the last word you ever want to hear. That's what happened to my best friend Kathy of WCON, My Country 99.3 last year in May. It was devastating news. She was diagnosed with colon cancer and has been fighting for her life ever since!

If you know Kathy then you know how self-LESS she is; constantly giving of herself and dedicating her time and resources to those in need. She has that fierce zest for life and her confident, undying commitment to Jesus, her Savior. She is a lively radio personality that inspires, encourages and brings her audience their daily dose of humor throughout the day.

She is also diligent in producing her daily devotional podcasts encouraging people in scriptural Bible study to trust the God she loves. She loves people. She's my best friend of about 15 years and she's just amazing.

We need your help! Kathy has been taking chemotherapy since she got the diagnosis and her oncologist says that this is the last and only thing that he can do for her. Well, I say NO! We are going to continue with chemo but (by divine appointment) have found additional treatments that can prolong or possibly save her life.

These treatments are not covered by insurance and this financial burden is heavy, so... She Needs Your Support!

I ask you to remember how she has helped you, how she touched your life and the lives of those around her, how she made you more than you were before you met her, and how she offered her time and talent to grow yours. Now it is our time to give. Kathy did not ask for this but I ask, that we as a community ask for your financial support to offer her at least relief from that enormous financial burden. I ask also for your prayers for both Kathy and her family for the strength and continued courage that will carry them through to see Kathy once again healed, whole, and vibrant!
