Support Kane's Surgery: Family's Loving Plea

TL;DR Our German Shepherd has two torn ACLs in her hind legs and we could use some good luck and support.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to read this. I’m hoping it finds the right eyes and hearts. I am setting up this fund for Kane, our German Shepherd. She is a rescue that my brother surprised our family with on one of his visits back home from college. As you can imagine, a family that already had two larger breeds (a Black Lab and a Bluetick Coonhound) was apprehensive about having a third dog home on holidays. Kane quickly became a beloved part of our family and has been in my brother’s care ever since. I’m writing this on behalf of him as he is a young man with his means being stretched to their limits by the cost of these surgeries.

Kane recently tore her ACL in her hind leg to the tune of $6k. As our family was figuring out the details for that procedure, she tore her other hind leg ACL (due to compensating and favoring it) and now is immobile. The first surgery is happening right now as I write this and after several weeks of rehab she will require another surgery to repair the other leg followed by more rehab.

We love Kane and I’m honestly just shooting a shot in the dark hoping that by posting this I can help make this easier on my brother and family, hopefully with your help.
