I'm Kris Melsha, and I am raising funds for Josie Hoyt. Tomorrow is Josie's 32nd birthday. She did not anticipate spending it fighting for her life.

Josie was diagnosed with stage 3 triple-negative invasive ductal breast cancer in the fall of 2025. She works at Cleveland Elementary School as a Behavior Interventionist. Unfortunately, she has been at this job for less than a year, so she does not qualify for FMLA. She has high-deductible insurance and has used all of her PTO for treatments.

She began treatment shortly after receiving her diagnosis. Wanting desperately to be a mother, she, along with her boyfriend Kyle, made the decision to harvest her eggs in the hope of having children in the future. Her chemotherapy and other treatments are scheduled to last until the end of 2026.

She is in for a VERY long fight!
