Hi everyone, my name is Alexis and we are raising funds to support Kathy and her husband, Jim, during an incredibly difficult and demanding time. Jim has been hospitalized for over a month and has recently undergone his second heart transplant!
In 2018, Jim received an LVAD. Which he lived with for six months before receiving his first heart transplant. Now after years of continued medical challenges, he has once again faced a life saving transplant and is beginning a long road to recovery.
Before his health declined, Jim worked as a fire inspector, dedicating his career to keeping others safe. He is also a proud grandfather, and his family remains a strong source of motivation as he focuses on healing.
While Jim’s medical bills are covered, the day to day living costs are not. Jim is required to remain in Utah for recovery the next 3 months and an apartment was secured for him by Kathy at a cost of $8,000 so he can stay close to his transplant team. Kathy, who is the only provider, must continue living in Idaho while traveling back and forth to Utah to support Jim as much as possible due to work obligations.
Funds raised will help cover temporary housing, transportation, food, and basic living necessities during this extended separation.
This fundraiser is intended to ease the financial strain of these non medical expenses so Kathy and Jim can focus on healing and stability during this critical time.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping them in your THOUGHTS and PRAYERS is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
