Support Jeff: Stage 3 Liver Cirrhosis Disease

Hello, everyone. My name is Jeff. On March 28, I was taken by ambulance to the local hospital. The reason? As I was getting out of bed to use the bathroom, I collapsed to the floor. I was feeling bad all day long but didn't know why. After blood work and some tests, the ER doctor told me that I had internal bleeding in my stomach. After years of drinking and taking Excedrin twice a day, I developed an abrasion on the lining of my stomach. The doctor also ordered a CT scan of my liver. The results were bad. Only 10%-20% of my liver was still functioning. I am currently in stage 3 cirrhosis of the liver. I work as a school bus driver. I have FMLA to protect my job. Some days are okay. Some days are bad. I've used up all my sick hours. So when I have a bad night and call out sick, I don't get paid. The funds will be used for rent, food, and other bills. I would also like you to know that as of today, I am 26 days sober. Thanks for taking the time to read my story. Jeff A
