Support Janet's Journey

Janet has been a vibrant part of our team since 2021, working seasonally across several locations from Big Bend to Alaska. At 75, she brings a wealth of experience in customer service and sales, always greeting guests with positivity and a can-do spirit. Janet is known for her independence, her ability to handle pressure, and her willingness to go above and beyond for both her coworkers and our guests. As her manager, I’ve trusted her to run the store in my absence, knowing she can handle any situation with confidence and care.

Recently, Janet received a lung cancer diagnosis and must leave Alaska immediately to return to Texas for treatment. This sudden change means she’ll be without a job and facing significant uncertainty. Janet has spent recent years traveling for seasonal work, often making her way across the country in her van, always ready for the next adventure. She rarely asks for help and prefers to handle challenges on her own, but her friends and coworkers want to support her as she begins her cancer journey.

Our team wants to show Janet how much she means to us by helping her with the costs she’ll face in the coming months. Every contribution will go toward her medical care, daily living expenses, and any urgent needs that arise. We hope this support will give Janet some peace of mind as she returns to Texas and begins treatment, knowing she’s not alone in this difficult time.
