My name is Ashlee and Rosemarie was my mother. My mother passed very unexpectedly when a stomach ache turned into a nightmare. My mother underwent 3 surgeries to resect her colon and intestines with, unfortunately, a very poor prognosis. When she went to the hospital, she was 83 pounds from not eating well over the weeks leading up to hospitalization.

On October 9th, after 2 weeks inpatient, she made the decision to terminally extubate as she had had enough pain and suffering. She passed away peacefully in my arms. I admire her bravery. Anyone that knew my mother knew her heart. She had the best laugh, was full of spunk, and was a total goofball. She was always dancing and singing. She loved to go out to eat, spend time with family, and be with her beloved long-time boyfriend, Tony. She wanted to live for my children, but unfortunately, life had bigger plans. Everyone she met has been impacted by her beautiful, fun-loving personality. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
