Hello, 

My name is Hannah Van Blarcom. I'm a college graduate with a Master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology, currently applying to medical schools. I have taken a gap year to gain experience working in research at the University of Pennsylvania and would love to gain further experience by volunteering to work alongside other health professionals in Peru through Project Huancayo, where I would have first-hand experience in global health care for a local community. Despite healthcare progress, rural areas still face shortages of trained professionals and underfunded facilities.
