Support Gina’s fight to kick cancer to the curb!

This spring Gina and Steph got the devastating news that Gina’s thyroid cancer has spread. Her papillary carcinoma was treated the first go around by surgically removing her entire thyroid, as well as a known tumor in her larynx which left half of her larynx paralyzed. This spring they got the devastating news that what was hopefully just scar tissue left in her larynx was actually a tumor and had doubled in size in the last 2 years. Her cancer has also spread to her lymph nodes as well as her parathyroid and possibly her lung. Her doctors here in Bismarck decided Mayo was her best shot and they have begun their care there. She has a team of doctors there whom she is hopeful will be able to give her the best care! Her surgeon is studying the movements of her larynx before he goes in to remove the biggest tumor which is 1 millimeter from her nerve in her larynx. The risk of this surgery is very high and she is facing lots of risks including being left with a tracheotomy. She will have her lymph nodes removed as well, and after this they will focus on the other spots her cancer has spread. This is going to be a long and expensive journey for them, but they are determined to get through it and have a beautiful life with their 3 beautiful girls! All money raised will be going to medical bills and travel expenses to Mayo in Rochester.
