Dear friends, family, and community,
My name is Galina Stepanova, I am 27 years old, and today I am asking for your support in the hardest season of my life.
I moved to the United States just a year ago after going through very difficult circumstances in my life. And only in the last seven months I was finally able to start working, dreaming, making plans, and learning to feel at home. Then everything changed.
In October, I was diagnosed with stage 3C cervical cancer.
This diagnosis has turned my life upside down, but it hasn’t changed who I am at my core. I’ve always tried to be a caring and empathetic person, someone who supports friends, listens with an open heart, and brings a little joy wherever I can. I love animals, enjoy simple pleasures like bowling, and try to find moments of light even in the hardest days.
Since my diagnosis, I’ve undergone two surgeries and now live with a port and a nephrostomy. I am currently in chemotherapy and radiation, with brachytherapy ahead, followed by long-term immunotherapy. The road forward is long and demanding — physically, emotionally, and financially.
While my focus needs to be on healing, the reality is that cancer care is overwhelming. I’ve been unable to work since November, and my expenses have grown: daily trips to the clinic, medications, special nutrition, medical bills, and the need to move closer to treatment this spring to reduce the strain on my body and finances.
I never imagined asking for help like this. But right now, I truly need it.
My goal is to raise $15,000 to help cover treatment, transportation, medications, and basic living expenses while I fight for my health and my future.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount makes a big difference.
If you can’t donate, sharing this page also means the world to me.
Thank you for standing with me, for believing in me, and for reminding me that I am not alone in this fight.
Your love and support give me strength to keep going
