Support for TRIO Tutor-Misty

One of the greatest characteristics of the TRIO program is WE ARE FAMILY!  When someone is in need, we pull together to help.  Our friend, co-worker, and TRIO family member, Misty Garcia, needs our support. Misty has served as a tutor in TRIO since 2007 and has been a staple to the tutoring program,  offering unwavering support to students on their road to success.  Quiet, kind-spirited, and humble, Misty plays a pivotal role in the life of our TRIO office.

 
On Friday, January 22, Misty, was involved in a terrible car accident while headed to work.  Consequently, Misty sustained multiple severe injuries and is currently hospitalized in intensive care.   Unfortunately, she has a long road ahead to recovery.  Even still, Misty has been strong in her fight to survive.  

 
It is unimaginable that something as horrible as this would happen to someone for whom we deeply care and love, yet we remain hopeful. In times of tragedy, we come together as a community to lift those hurting and those who need our support. Therefore, we are kindly asking for support to help the Garcia family ease their financial strain.  If you can find it in your heart to donate, please do so.  No amount is too small.  All funds collected will be donated to the family to cover Misty's medical expenses and any other financial burdens faced due to this misfortune.

We will continue to provide updates on her status as her family allows.  In addition, we ask for your prayers for a speedy recovery, complete healing, and strength during this difficult time.
