Support for Shirley Hickman

Hi. My name is Cynthia Stagg and I am fundraising for my very good friends Ben and Shirley Hickman.

A little over a week ago Shirley ended up in the hospital as she was having trouble breathing and mobility issues. She was admitted to the Port Hardy Hospital and then a couple of days later was transferred to the hospital in Campbell River. They have to send her to Nanaimo this week hopefully for more tests to see exactly what is going on, as they have to do more tests on her heart.

Ben has been out of work since October due to medical issues, and at this time Shirley is really needing her husband with her. We all know that travelling down island can get quite expensive.

Shirley is a person that will do anything for anyone at any time. She has been one of my very best friends for over 20 years and she and Ben are the godparents to my eldest son. Right now we need to be there for them to ensure that Shirley gets the support she needs during this difficult time. It looks like at this time that she will be requiring hospital care for the foreseeable future.

Please help to ensure that Ben gets the financial support needed at this time in order to be by Shirley's side.
