Dear friends, family, and loving community,

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the devastating and unexpected passing of 7-year old Serene “Beanie” Felts on Monday, March 2nd. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.

Serene was an unforgettable personality full of wittiness, confidence and love for all. She had an undeniable spirit of light and loved to sing and perform her very own versions of Hamilton, The Greatest Showman, and all of her favorite songs. Serene was so brave and bold. She once scolded a stranger for swearing by shouting “Hey, there’s kids over here”. That was Serene. She loved acting in the church’s annual Christmas play as Mary and the Angel of the Lord. Sports weren’t that interesting to her, but snacks at halftime were a favorite. We miss everything about Beanie and will cherish our time and memories forever.

We have created this GoFundMe to help Sarah and Chris with immediate and unplanned financial pressures.

There will be a Celebration of Life open to all who loved her on Sunday, March 8th at 3pm in the First Presbyterian Church, 237 Second St NW, Hickory, NC.
