On Wednesday evening, Rob was shot and killed in a senseless act of violence on Put-in-Bay on the very first day we were there to celebrate his 40th birthday, which would have been today.

I know I won't be able to say everything perfectly, and I don't think words could ever capture the depth of this loss. Rob was so much more than a husband and father. He was a constant presence, a source of strength, a comforting hand, a helping hand, a perseverer, a man of unwavering faith, and a father who intentionally led and loved his family and children toward Christ every single day.

The void he leaves behind is immeasurable.

I simply wanted to let everyone know that the prayers, love, messages, meals, and support are deeply felt by the kids and me, by Rob's parents and sisters, and by everyone who had the privilege of loving him and doing life with him.

We don't have words to adequately thank you right now, but we feel your prayers carrying us through each hour. Please continue praying for our children, for both of our families, and for all who are grieving the loss of such an incredible man.
