My daughter was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and our world has been turned upside down. Not only has she had to face the fear and uncertainty that comes with a cancer diagnosis, but she has also endured a serious medical error during her very first treatment. The chemotherapy medication was accidentally administered into her breast tissue, which led to an emergency ambulance ride and a four-day hospital stay. Since then, complications have continued to arise. She was recently rushed back to the ER, where a new CT scan revealed blood clots in her lungs. Now, she is being admitted to the hospital again and may be spending Christmas away from home, surrounded by doctors and nurses instead of family.

This journey has been incredibly hard on her and her husband. They have both missed a significant amount of work due to countless scans, treatments, and trips back and forth to the hospital. With her out-of-pocket deductible renewing on January 1st, the financial burden is only growing heavier. Any support received will go directly toward covering her medical expenses, daily living costs, and helping them manage during this challenging time.

As a cancer survivor myself, I know firsthand how much strength and hope a supportive community can provide. I want my daughter to feel the love and encouragement of her village every step of the way.
