Hi friends and family, this is Ali Jansen. Starting around 6pm on January 7th, a fire broke out in Altadena where my Aunt Deborah and her 16-year-old son Kesii still live. For 30 years, it's where so many of our memories were made and held, and it’s a place I wanted to bring my newborn daughter one day to create her own memories. Now it’s gone. Luckily, they got out at the nick of time and are physically safe, but this is a loss we just can’t comprehend.

We appreciate any support you can lend to help rebuild a home and neighborhood with so much life and history. We are hoping our community and friends can help ease some of the initial stress by providing a small financial cushion to help them with basic needs as they process their loss and navigate next steps.
