UPDATE as of May 12th, 2026

We wanted to give everyone a quick update on Brittnye.

Over the last couple weeks, there have been a lot of tests, scans, procedures, and long conversations with doctors. We now know that approximately 70% of Brittnye’s bone marrow is affected by leukemia. While that is incredibly serious and overwhelming to hear, her medical team at Methodist University Hospital in downtown Memphis is moving quickly and working to determine the best treatment plan for her.

We are still waiting on additional results that will determine the exact subtype and genetic mutations of the leukemia. Those answers are very important because they help doctors know the best treatment options and give a clearer picture of what the road ahead looks like.

Right now, Brittnye is continuing to fight with strength and determination, even on the hardest days. She has been surrounded by so much love from family, friends, coworkers, and this entire community. Your prayers, donations, meals, messages, and support have meant more than we can possibly put into words.

Because of the seriousness of the leukemia and the extremely high risk of infection, Josh has also had to step away from work so he can help protect Brittnye from outside germs and be by her side throughout treatment and hospital stays. With her immune system being so compromised, even common illnesses that most people would recover from easily can become very dangerous for her right now.

There are still many unknowns, and this journey is just beginning. The financial burden of treatment, time away from work, and long hospital stays is already significant. Every donation, share, and prayer truly helps lighten the load for Brittnye and Josh as they focus on what matters most — her healing and recovery.
