Our dear friend Brenda is facing another cancer battle. I thought last year was tough - she fought Breast Cancer and then terrible injuries from being hit head-on by Japanese tourist driving on the wrong side of the road! What more could one person have to endure Imoften asked myself. But Brenda soldiered on and did not let any of that slow her down for long.

Now she has Melanoma that has spread to her lymph nodes. This is the dreadful cancer all of us outdoors Women fear. It will require extensive surgery and treatments. Brenda is a single mom with a teenage daughter entering her senior year of high school. She works two jobs that do not provide paid leave. The time off from work for treatments is going to be a huge financial burden for her. The added stress of wondering how she will make ends meet thru all of this is not good for her. She needs all the support she can get to fight this cancer!

Brenda would never ask for help from anyone, but would give a stranger the shirt off her back. I am doing this campaign because of the great outpouring of support I have received from people wanting to help her. All donations will go directly to Brenda to provide help with medical and living expenses.
