Medical Support for Beth Nethercote Callahan

 

 

 

 

 

My name is Sarah Nethercote Hart, and I am Beth Callahan's oldest sister. As many of you know, Beth was on vacation in Puerto Rico with her husband, Dan and their twins when she had a terrible fall on February 9 causing her to sustain a severe brain injury. As of February 16, she is still in a coma, intubated and being treated in the ICU at a hospital in Puerto Rico, and we are monitoring her condition closely. The good news is that she is alive, although this could be a months long recovery. Beth has lovingly taken care of covid patients for the last two years and had just left Lahey hospital after 7 years for a much deserved break.  This was the vacation she had been waiting for and it is an incredibly cruel twist of fate that this she would happen to most selfless person I know.  We all love Beth so dearly, and we know that she and Dan will have a long road in front of them no matter what the outcome. We have the best people advocating for her, and we need your support too.
