If you've had the blessing of meeting Angie Jusko, you know right away how lucky you are and what a special, unique person she is. Angie is a strong voice and advocate for children with autism and an extraordinary mother to her autistic son Gavin and his sweet sisters Madison and Chloe. She has an unmatchable strength for enduring challenges that many of us can't imagine having to face. Sadly, on August 2, 2020, Angie has faced another unimaginable challenge, the sudden and tragic loss of the love of her life, husband, and best friend, Shawn.
Shawn was just 46 when he died. He was a hardworking, loving husband and father who lived his life for his family and the Lord. He was a talented and creative welder and artist. He had a dynamic presence, and he was selfless, kind, and generous. His intelligence, creativity, and sense of humor were appreciated and loved by all who knew him. His death leaves a gaping hole in the lives of those who loved him.
Shawn’s love and spirituality were bigger than this life on earth, and it was especially important that he, his children, loved ones, and all he knew loved and served Jesus in their lives.
Without question, Angie was the love of Shawn's life, and they persevered through all of life’s trials together, placing all of their trust in God. Shawn worked hard for the family and anyone who knows the Jusko family is well aware that Angie has her hands full taking care of the children by herself. It's more than a full-time job, and now she is facing a life of trying to take care of and support her family without the help of her partner and the help and income he contributed to the family.
With COVID-19, these are undoubtedly trying times for many of us, but lifting others up during dire times of need can be a great reward and reminder of our own blessings. If you can, please donate whatever you are able to help this sweet mother of three take care of her family during these difficult times.
