With a heavy heart, I’m reaching out to ask for support for a dear friend of mine, Olivia, and her family.

Earlier this week, Olivia’s 9-year-old son was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. They are currently at Primary Children’s Hospital as doctors work to determine the best path forward. As they begin navigating countless appointments, procedures, treatments, and an uncertain road ahead, their lives have been turned upside down in an instant.

If you know him, you know he is an incredible kid who loves football, sports, spending time with his family and friends, and bringing joy to the people around him. He has a kind heart, a bright spirit, and a smile that can light up a room. Watching him face something so difficult is absolutely heartbreaking.

Olivia is a devoted single mother raising four amazing children. Right now, her focus needs to be on being by her son’s side at the hospital and throughout the treatment journey ahead. As someone who works in the service industry, time away from work means lost income during a time when financial stress is the last thing a family should have to worry about.
