Our beloved father, Ernest McMillan, has been on an intense health journey this year.
In April, he suffered a stroke, and just a few months later, in August, he was diagnosed with stage 2 bladder cancer. As a family, we’ve been doing our best to move forward with hope, strength, and faith.
We are reaching out now to our beloved community—friends, comrades, and all who have been touched by Ernest’s decades of dedication to justice —to help sustain his health, recovery, and lifelong purpose to fight injustice and empower the next generation of activists.
The next six months are critical as Ernest undergoes chemotherapy and radiation, followed by immunotherapy. Your support will make a direct difference in his healing journey, allowing him to continue the work that has defined his life.
Funds raised will go toward:
- General bills for basic needs not covered by social security
- Medical bills and co-pays not covered by insurance
- Comprehensive wellness expenses
- Travel for our father to speak out against fascism and support youth development efforts
- Caregiver expenses to continue to show up as fully as possible
Ernest has always shown up for others with courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our collective liberation. It would mean so much for our community to show up for him now.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps ease the weight of this journey and brings Ernest closer to full recovery and renewed strength.
We thank you dearly!
