Our family has come together to start this GoFundMe for Eric, my dad, because he would never ask for help himself. Anyone who knows my dad knows he’s the one who shows up for everyone else, no questions asked. Reaching out like this isn’t easy for him—or for us—but this is a desperate time, and we know we can’t do this alone.

What started as what my dad thought was pneumonia after an emergency room visit turned into a life-changing diagnosis of chondrosarcoma, a rare and painful cancer. My dad will need to travel from Montana to Seattle for surgery, and then continue traveling back and forth for post-op appointments, specialists, and treatment. During all of this, he’s in a lot of pain and unable to work.

The financial strain of medical bills, travel, lodging, and everyday expenses is overwhelming. Our hope in creating this fundraiser is to ease that burden so my dad can focus on healing and getting through this fight.

Faith has always been a huge part of my dad’s life, and he truly believes in the power of prayer. If you’re not in a position to donate, we ask just as sincerely for your prayers—for strength, healing, peace, and guidance for the doctors caring for him.
