This gofundme is being set up for Elysia Simmons and her mom, Jenna Miller. On Sept 2nd, 2025 Elysia suffered life threatening injuries when, as a passenger in her best friend’s vehicle, they were involved in a horrific accident in Statesville, NC. Elysia was placed in a trauma center fighting for her life. After 48 hours of fearing the worst, she regained consciousness and is able to breathe on her own, talk coherently and move all her fingers and toes. It’s nothing short of a miracle. Not surprisingly, her extensive injuries required multiple surgeries and will require many more. Her recovery and rehabilitation will be a long and costly battle. They’ll both soon exhaust their savings and Elysia, obviously will be unable to work. Insurance will only cover a portion of the expected costs so we’re asking for any donation you can afford to help with the living and the medical expenses Elysia’s care will require.
