Support Ella's Journey to Health and Healing

We are so thankful that our little miracle, as the doctor called her, is still with us. She has overcome so much. Ella was born 8 weeks early and was in the hospital for 317 days before being discharged home. She has a congenital heart defect and a hole in her trachea where the esophagus was attached. She had surgery 2 days after birth and has had many surgeries since. Ella has been a fighter since she was born; there have been several close calls where we didn't think she was going to make it to the next day; however, she continued to fight.

She has another surgery on Monday for a tracheostomy and will be in the hospital for up to 2 months after for healing and for mom and dad to learn what to do with the trach and how to clean and care for it. Ella was doing well after going home and had started to progress in her development. She was home for 2 weeks and came down with aspiration pneumonia and was hospitalized for it. The trach is her best option to avoid this and also give her time to grow and her lungs to heal and become strong. This little girl has been through so many surgeries since the day she was born.

Mom and Dad need your help with the day-to-day along with other expenses to help care for Ella once she's back home. She is on oxygen, has a feeding tube, and will now also have a tracheostomy to be taken care of. We are asking for assistance getting them through the next few months, so they are able to sustain the home and care for Ella.
