Friends and family, this GoFundMe exists for the sole purpose of raising funds to support the Gutierrez family financially through Elio’s hospital stay, along with any other financial burdens that arise under these overwhelming and heartbreaking circumstances.

A message from The Gutierrez Family:

There is so much to say but I am having a hard time remaining speechless. On 11/23, after a pediatrician appointment, a previous ER visit, several days of unease and feeling like something was wrong we were finally given answers.

After a head CT, we were told that they found a mass in our sweet Elio's brain. They placed a drain to help decrease the pressure but then the mass hemorrhaged and the situation became emergent. He had surgery to remove it.

After viewing the MRI, our focus is getting him to wake up and to see what damage is done.

I think I’m living every parent’s worst nightmare. So many people have been asking how to help, right now Jesse and I are not going to be able to work and will be spending all of our days in the hospital with Elio. Big brother, JJ, is going to be with our families and trying to visit as often as we all can. Given that the hospital we are staying at is an hour and a half away from our home in porterville, it will be hard. Any donations are extremely appreciated.

But most of all, I kindly ask that you pray for my son and my family during this time. There are so many things that are unknown right now and we are trying to stay as positive as possible. If you don’t pray, please keep him close to your heart and in your thoughts.

Elio, you are everything we didn’t know that we needed. You are so special and we love you so much. Mommy and daddy and brother will stand beside you through anything.
