Every house has a story—and for Eddie Serna, telling those stories is both an art form and a calling.
Eddie Serna is a dedicated artist who creates intricate, hand-crafted model houses that capture more than walls and windows. Each piece reflects memory, imagination, and the quiet beauty of everyday life—childhood homes, dream spaces, places of comfort, and places we’ve left behind. These miniature houses are not just models; they are storytellers.
Eddie Serna found his inspiration close to home. Encouraged by his sister—who shared his admiration for the charm and detail of classic Victorian architecture—he developed a passion for the iconic “Painted Ladies” style.
That inspiration led him to focus his talents in Humboldt County, where he began recreating and restoring local Victorian homes. Through careful craftsmanship and an eye for vibrant, period-appropriate color palettes, Eddie helped revive the character and historic beauty of Humboldt County’s neighborhoods, preserving their architectural heritage for future generations.
For years, Eddie Serna has poured heart, time, and personal resources into this work—designing, building, painting, and perfecting every detail by hand. The process is slow and intentional, requiring specialized materials, tools, workspace, and countless hours of focused labor. Like many independent artists, sustaining this work financially has become increasingly difficult.
This GoFundMe is being created to help Eddie Serna continue creating and sharing this art with the world.
Funds raised will go toward:
Art supplies and building materials
Tools and equipment needed for fine detail work
Studio/workspace expenses
Time to focus on creating new pieces and preparing for exhibitions or commissions
