Support Dr. Rajab Rebuild His Family Life

I am raising funds on behalf of Dr. Rajab Mohammed Murtaja in efforts to help him evacuate from Gaza and rebuild his life. The currency is in USD. I am raising the funds instead of him because I live in the United States and only people who live in some countries including the USA (per GoFundme) can create an account. Here is Dr. Rajab's story:

"Hello, my name is Dr. Rajab Murtaja, a Palestinian doctor from Gaza. After the 7th of October, my whole life came upside down due to the war on Gaza. I've been stationed in northern Gaza at the Indonesian Hospital, tirelessly serving my patients while I found myself forcibly separated from my wife, Dr. Israa, and our beloved son, Mohammed, who had to relocate to Rafah with her parents out of fear for their safety. My heart aches knowing that my wife and son are enduring the chaos of bombs falling around them, with Mohammed's cries echoing through my mind. Without him by my side, it feels as though a piece of my very soul is missing. He's more than just my son; he's the one I feel closest to, the one who used to sleep soundly in my arms, trusting me to shield him from harm. Yet, amidst the ongoing war, I've been deprived of his presence, unable to embrace him or even catch a whiff of his comforting scent since the war began.

Many question why I don't move to southern Gaza, but my commitment lies with my patients who deserve full medical attention. Despite the challenges, I worked during the war as a volunteer, not taking any salary, from the start of the war until now.

Now, I am among the few surgeons who continue to provide assistance to our patients. From the beginning of the war I served at the Indonesian Hospital until its closure in November 2023, I have been working in hospitals during war from hospital to hospital until all hospitals out of services completely. l currently, I reside in a school alone, operating a makeshift medical point in the north that I treat numerous individuals, daily amidst the scarcity of resources. The spread of epidemics and lack of clean water and food have led to a surge in gastrointestinal, respiratory, and skin infections. The famine is alarming, with severe shortages of medicines, especially for chronic diseases. Northern Gaza lacks a responsible entity for its health system, leaving its residents in a state of despair. There’s no place safe in Gaza, we can be bombed at any time and anywhere across the strip.

We are left with nothing but the rubble of our shattered lives – our home reduced to dust, our jobs lost, and our dreams disappeared, my heart aches most for Mohammed, our beacon of hope, facing an uncertain tomorrow. Where will he grow up? In Gaza's desolation, the prospects seem grim, with life's essentials stripped away.

My wife and I dreamed of a tranquil existence, envisioning a bright path ahead for our child. We longed for Mohammed to flourish like any child should, surrounded by love and opportunity. He deserves a childhood untouched by fear, a horizon brimming with promise. Every child deserves safety, access to the basics of life: nourishment, clean water, warmth, and education. Let's unite to ensure Mohammed has these fundamental rights, offering him a chance at the semblance of a normal, dignified life.

Today, I am asking for your help. I am asking you to support me and my family to back together again. To have a new warm home for my family, To be able to find a safe place for Mohammed where we can have a peaceful future alongside his parents, to completing our studies, specializing in medicine outside Gaza.
