My brother Dino is facing the fight of his life after suddenly going into severe septic shock during our family reunion in Kissimmee, Florida. He was rushed to the ER at Advent Health Celebration and quickly transferred to the Advanced Cardiac Surgery Unit in Orlando, where he is now on ECMO life support, a breathing machine, and dialysis. While his septic shock is slowly resolving, Dino remains in critical condition and is expected to be hospitalized for at least 4 to 6 months before he can return home.

Dino is a beloved member of the Laguna Beach and South Padre Island communities in Texas. He and his wife, Vicky, traveled all the way to Florida to be with family, but now Vicky is facing the overwhelming challenge of finding lodging in downtown Orlando, far from home and family support. She is traveling back and forth from Texas to Orlando to manage their financial obligations and care for their three dogs. Three of their four children were able to visit, but had to return to Texas due to responsibilities at home.

We are raising funds to help cover Dino’s mounting medical bills, ongoing travel and lodging expenses, and the financial strain of both Dino and Vicky being unable to work. The immediate need is for lodging and travel, as resources are running out and the demands are only increasing. Any support will help Dino’s family stay by his side and focus on his recovery during this long and uncertain journey.
