Hi everyone,
My name is Karizme, and I’m Destiny’s sister. For the past 10 years, I’ve been her closest support system and mother figure, and today I’m reaching out to ask for help on her behalf.
Late Friday night into early Saturday morning, Destiny was the victim of a horrific hit-and-run. She was struck multiple times with malicious intent. She was rushed to Baystate after BMC could no longer provide the care she needed. We’re still receiving updates day by day, as this only happened over the weekend.
Right now, Destiny has a fractured collarbone, fractured hip, and fractured pelvis. Thankfully, she was able to have her neck brace removed on Sunday, but there is still no timeline for when she’ll be discharged — let alone when she’ll be able to walk again or return to work.
Destiny lives alone on the second floor with her beautiful 8-month-old son. With her injuries, she’ll need major accommodations and support just to manage daily life, care for her baby, and keep her household going.
To make matters even harder, the person responsible for this violent act is still out in the community. We are determined to seek justice for Destiny, which means hiring a lawyer in addition to handling the many financial burdens this tragedy has created.
We are so grateful for any support — whether through donations, sharing our story, or simply keeping Destiny and her little boy in your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with our family during this difficult time.
