Support Desi's Journey Towards Stability

We are fundraising to help Desi pay her rent for May and June! This GoFundMe will remain open - at least until she qualifies for disability - as she has continuous mutual aid needs.

Desi is a talented LGBTQ+, POC, disabled and neurodivergent artist living in Long Beach. She previously worked in retail and as a makeup artist, but her body has been slowly deteriorating. She needs a cane to walk and cannot stand for long periods of time (on top of various other medical ailments). Desi has been looking for remote work or work that she can do while seated for over a year without much success, as well as creating original books and works of art to sell as passive income, but it hasn't been enough to keep her afloat. She's exhausted all of her available resources.

Desi has been attempting to get put on state disability/SDI, but her ADHD (and the national medication shortage) coupled with her physical ailments has made it challenging to navigate the many hurdles put into place for acquiring financial aid.

She has until June 4th to pay rent or she will be evicted with no place to go.
