My name is Dennis, and I am reaching out for help as I face a challenging time with my health. I have been living with atrial fibrillation (afib), a heart condition that has caused my heart rate to soar to dangerous levels. Recently, I spent three weeks in the hospital after my heart rate stayed around 155 bpm for over a week. The doctors had to 'shock' my heart twice to try to bring it back to normal, but unfortunately, the relief was only temporary, and I had to be admitted again. This experience has been both frightening and overwhelming, and it has taken a toll on my well-being and finances.
The ongoing medical bills, especially for my prescriptions, have added up quickly. Each time my doctors adjust my medications, the costs increase, making it hard to keep up. On top of that, I have had to make difficult choices between paying for my medicine and buying groceries. Even getting to my doctor’s appointments has become a challenge, as the cost of gas adds up. These are basic needs, but right now, they feel out of reach.
I am asking for your support to help me get through this difficult time. Any contribution—no matter how small—would mean the world to me. Every bit truly helps. If you are considering whether to help, please know that I am a two-time veteran, having served in the US ARMY from 1973-1976 (Vietnam Era) and the US NAVY from 1979-1982 aboard the USS COOK FF1083. Your kindness and generosity would make a real difference in my life, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can offer.
