Support Denise's Journey to Walk Again

Hi, my name is Karen Schooley. I am Denise Zellmer's niece. I am creating this GoFundMe for her.

In April, she suffered a horrible accident that resulted in a broken shoulder, a full neck fusion, and spinal cord damage. It has left her partially paralyzed in both legs and arms. She has been in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities ever since. She is working hard to regain whatever use she can, and her goal is to walk again. However, she has a long road in front of her.

We learned today that her employment and insurance will end in October. Now she is faced with losing everything she had to pay for her care. We are doing this fundraiser primarily to raise money for the wheelchair she needs. The company that loaned her one is now taking it back. This wheelchair is the only independence she has retained throughout this whole thing. It would mean the world to us if you can donate. Even a few dollars will make a difference.

Denise has maintained her spirit, her drive, and her ability to laugh through this whole thing. She's amazing and we love her! She will get through this and will always have a heart full of love. She just needs a bit of help now.

Let's get her this wheelchair so she can continue to cruise around the facility making new friends!!!
