Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for your help on behalf of my mom, Debbie Levenberg. She’s truly one of the kindest, most selfless people I know—the type of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone else, even if she didn’t really have it to give.
The last few years have been incredibly difficult for her. After losing her husband—my dad, Rich—in 2023, life has been an uphill battle. She’s been doing everything she can to stay afloat, managing the house and bills on her own with very little room to breathe financially.
Then, on July 14th, 2025, during the severe flooding that hit central NJ, my mom was caught in rising waters while driving on Route 22 in Greenbrook. Her car started taking on water and she was forced to abandon it and wade through the flood to safety at a nearby Toyota dealership. Thankfully, though scared and shaken, she is okay—and for that, I’m beyond grateful. But her car was totaled, and with all the financial strain she’s already been under, replacing it simply isn’t something she can afford right now.
We’re asking for help so she can purchase a safe, reliable vehicle to get to work and continue moving forward. If you’re in a position to give—even just a little—it would mean the world to us. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step toward easing a difficult situation for someone who has always done her best to be there for others, without ever expecting anything in return.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any help you can give. It’s deeply appreciated by our whole family.
With gratitude,
Jessica
