Rochester community, our hearts are completely broken. Courtney’s beloved puppy, Rio, passed away suddenly and without warning yesterday. Despite every effort to save her, Rio didn’t make it. The loss has been overwhelming, and even worse with the timing of the holidays and what would have been Rio’s first birthday. As many of you might already know, Courtney pours her heart into her own business here in Rochester, NY. She gives so much to this community—through her work, her kindness, and her connection to the people who walk through her shop doors. Rio was part of that light and a source of joy for anyone who met her.

In the middle of the grief, Courtney has been left with emergency vet bills from the fight to save Rio’s life. It’s a heavy weight to carry on top of losing her best girl. We’re reaching out to the community that Courtney has supported for years, hoping to surround her now with the same love she has given so many others.
