Support CJ & Family Through Financial Hardship

Hi everyone! Didn't expect to be making this GoFundMe, especially when we finally started to get caught up to things…but unfortunately we are currently falling behind on rent and bills due to an issue with our water over the last couple of months. We had a running toilet and hadn’t realized it ran our water bill up to almost $2,500. Catching up on that water bill has caused us to also fall behind on our rent. (Not to mention my car needing work that is currently affecting its ability to get us from point A to point B, but that is another issue).

In February of last year, my partner was laid off from his well-paying job and in August found a new job, but took a hefty pay cut. I am currently out of work and have been looking for another opportunity that works within our schedule with the kids. We've also had a lot of issues with food stamps and don’t get much help with groceries each month. We’ve been adjusting to the financial differences as best we can and thanks to some help from family, we were able to make it through those rough patches in 2024.

We’re almost completely paid off with the remainder being about $2,200, including what we owe in rent. Our landlord has been patient, but unfortunately, that patience will not last much longer. I am making this GoFundMe to hopefully raise something toward catching up on everything so we can start this year off with a little less stress. I understand a lot of people are struggling financially right now, so even a small amount or share will help us toward our goal! Thank you to everyone that can help in any way!
