I am Crystal LaShan Toussant, the mother of extraordinary Visual Artist, Chloe' Marsai Toussant. I am a Single Mom, Theater, Speech, and Debate Educator, Performing Artist, and Filmmaker who is determine to give my children every opportunity I never was afforded. I am a 20+ year Arts Educator. My daughter and I need your help achieving her goals as a Artist Scholar. We need to raise $9,000 for Chloe' to receive Artist training.

Chloe Marsai is a 15-year-old freshwoman at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. I am excited to share that she earned a spot in the exclusive New York University Summer High School Art Intensive Program. They only accept 54 kids each Summer.

As of May 18, 2024, Chloe' was awarded the HSPVA Black Alumni Network’s (BAN) 2024 Underclassmen Award of $1,000. We are excited to accept this award for Chloe' and grateful for the support which will help Chloe' achieve her goal. Due to this award and the generosity of my Spelman Sister, who doesn't want to be named, who donated Chloe's $500 deposit , we have decreased her goal to $7,500
Chloe also earned an Honorable Mention scholarship for $300 to attend a one-week training to study Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design Summer Seminar in Atlanta, GA.
On-campus participant program cost: US $1,820
Chloe's balance is $1,420 with her deposit and scholarship credited to her account.
Chloe recently was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Houston League of Business and Professional Women, Inc. They honored Chloe' Marsai as an Emerging Young Entrepreneur. Chloe' donated her framed Art to help raise scholarship money for their organization.
Chloe' Marsai is passionate, focused, self-driven, and detailed about her Artwork. In November 2021, Chloe’ earned her first installation in an Art Exhibit at the John P. McGovern Health Museum Beautiful Minds: Dyslexia and the Creative Advantage Exhibit. Her signature piece, Sisterhood and In the Dark of 2020, were a part of a Digital Exhibit highlighting artwork chosen from submissions from Houston I.S.D. students across the 3rd largest school district in the nation. Chloe’ artwork was also featured in a short film, Sweet Bitterness.
Chloe’ won the Museum of Fine Arts Houston Glassell School of Art High School Endowed Scholarship in 2023 & 2024, The Houston Sun Foundation African Americans in the Arts Award, Emerging Young Entrepreneur Award, and the I Love Myself Young Humanitarian Award. Chloe’ career goal is to be an Animator, Filmmaker, and an Art Gallery Entrepreneur.
