My son, a beloved Sheriff’s Chief Deputy who has dedicated his career to serving his community, answering every call for help, and showing up for strangers in their darkest moments, is now facing a nightmare no family should ever endure. His home, the place where he and his wife were raising their two young daughters, was severely damaged in a fire and may now be a total loss.
In an instant, their world changed forever. And yet, even in the midst of heartbreak, my family is holding tightly to the one blessing that remains: they all made it out safely.
But the reality is devastating.
Their home is uninhabitable.
Their belongings are damaged.
The Christmas they had planned has vanished.
They are left with nothing familiar to return to, only the overwhelming task of rebuilding emotionally, physically, and financially.
My son has spent his entire life serving others. He has walked into burning homes, dangerous streets, and heartbreaking situations to protect families he has never met. He has comforted victims, guided lost children, supported grieving parents, and answered calls at all hours, often sacrificing precious time with his own family so he could keep others safe. He has spend countless hours trying to ensure children do not go without.
Now he is the one who needs help.
My family is hurting. They are exhausted. They are shaken and they need support more than ever.
If there was ever a moment to lift up a family who has lifted so many others, this is that moment.
Your support does more than replace what was lost.
It brings comfort. It brings stability. It brings hope back to two little girls who deserve to feel safe and loved in the middle of chaos.
It gives a devoted public servant and his wife the chance to breathe, to heal, and to begin rebuilding their lives.
No family should ever have to carry this alone, especially not one that has spent years being the first to show up when others needed saving.
Thank you for helping this family rise through heartbreak.
Your compassion is a light in one of the darkest moments of their lives.
