Initiative Title:

"Caribbean Schools Relief and Rebuilding Fund"

Rebuilding the Future Post Hurricane Melissa
Organized by Central Alabama Caribbean American Organization (CACAO) a 501c3 non-profit

Overview
Hurricane Melissa has left a devastating mark across the Caribbean leaving a path of destruction in its wake that did not leave much unscathed. The fury of the storm damaged schools, displaced families and disrupted education for thousands of students. Children who once started each morning with laughter and learning, now have nowhere to go. Desks are gone, roofs are torn off and the sound of hope has been replaced by silence as many schools have been reduced to rubble leaving students without safe and functional learning spaces. Together we can change that.

Who We Are:
We are Central Alabama Caribbean American Organization (CACAO) a U.S. based nonprofit made up of people who care deeply about Caribbean heritage and the next generation's future. Through our Rebuild the Future Initiative, we're partnering with the local communities, teachers and builders across the island to restore what the storm has taken away - one classroom at a time.

CACAO stands in solidarity with other committed supporters who are committed to helping restore and rebuild the educational system that has long been the pride of the region.

Our Goal:

To raise funds to repair and rebuild schools, supply essential classroom materials and provide a solid foundation for educational recovery in impacted Caribbean communities.

How Your Donations Will Help:
School Reconstruction & Repairs: Rebuilding classrooms, roofs and essential facilities by the storm.

Educational Materials: Supplying books, furniture and technology to restart learning.

Sustainable Recovery:
Installing solar energy systems and clean water solutions for long term-resilience.

Local Empowerment:
Partnering with local builders, educators and volunteers to create community based recovery solutions.

Why This Matters:
Education is the foundation of every nation's future. When schools are destroyed children lose not only their classrooms - they lose stability, hope and opportunity. Together, we can help restore these spaces and give children across the Caribbean the chance to dream again.

How You Can Help:
Donate whatever you can - every contribution helps rebuild a child's future.

My name is Pauline Ford Caesar and I am the Founder of Central Alabama Caribbean American Organization. I am a native of Jamaica and also a naturalized American as well as a Veteran. My purpose in launching this endeavor is because I attended school in Jamaica as a child and I recall the rigorous educational system as well as the joy of learning it fostered.

All funds raised from this effort will be forwarded directly to the Jamaican Consulate in Miami and specifically the Consul General Oliver Mair.
