My name is Kristy, and I’m Brooke’s sister. I’m organising this GoFundMe on behalf of Brooke and her partner Liam as a lot of people have reached out to our family asking how they can help. This is one way people may be able to help, while Brooke and Liam devote all of their time, energy, and love to their baby boy during an incredibly challenging chapter of their lives.
Brooke unexpectedly went into preterm labour and gave birth to a little baby named- George who is a much-loved little boy who was born at just 26 weeks gestation back early in December, and is currently receiving specialised care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Children’s Hospital. From the very beginning, George has shown incredible strength, already facing multiple medical challenges and multiple surgical procedures in his short 3 weeks of life.
Right now, George’s days are focused on growing, healing, and taking things one step at a time under the care of an incredible medical team. For his parents, Brooke and Liam, this journey has been overwhelming and emotional as they remain by his side, supporting their tiny fighter through each milestone, setback, and small win.
While George remains in hospital, Brooke and Liam have had to temporarily relocate to Melbourne, living away from home so they can be close to him during this critical time. Their focus is, and always will be, on George.
At this stage, the future for George is uncertain, and the road ahead may look different to what anyone expected. This fundraiser has been created to help ease any pressure or burdens, both now and in the time to come, so his parents can continue to focus fully on George—being present, advocating for him, and supporting him through whatever lies ahead.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting George and his family—both during his NICU stay and as they navigate the unknowns of the future. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping them in your thoughts means just as much.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for surrounding George, Brooke, and Liam with love during this incredibly challenging time.
