Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Radio Voz Latina KBWE 91.9 FM in Burley Idaho to honor the memory of my good friend Adan Ramirez who passed away in December of 2018.
Adan, a member of Idaho Community Action Network (ICAN), was a tireless and courageous community leader who dedicated himself to fight for justice and the rights of low-income people. He was also a recognized leader among Idaho's Latino, farmworker, and immigrant communities. Adan had a vision of a bilingual radio station that would provide much-needed outreach and education in the community. In March 2013 KBWE went live on the air. For more than six years, hundreds of volunteers have worked tireless hours to provide 24/7 programming; making Adan’s vision a reality for all. This is hard work we can all be proud of.
Now the radio station is entering a new phase. KBWE will continue to empower and unite our communities together through education and diversity. They will focus on local issues concerning social justice, community service, cultural diversity, farmworkers, and youth.
Help honor Adan's legacy by joining me in making a donation today.
KBWE is a project of the Alliance for A Just Society and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
