Support Bee Kays recovery journey and family
Donation protected
Ben Keelty known to his friends and family as Benny or Bee Kay was involved in a serious work place accident on 09 July 2025.
Whilst working on a building site he has fallen through fibreglass sheeting from a height of approximately 4m. Earlier in the day he warned his work mates of a shadow box on the sheeting and although at the time of the accident there was no shadow he has gone through the sheeting himself and has sustained serious, life threatening injuries as a result of this.
His injuries include brain bleeds, swelling, a fractured skull, broken ribs, lower back fractures and other less serious injuries. He is currently in Brisbane hospital fighting for his life.
His journey to recovery is going to be long and extensive.
As a subcontractor without insurances he is unlikely covered by workers compensation.
Accomodation for his family to stay in Brisbane to be close to the hospital and him is in excess of $2000 a week even with patient travel subsidies. Unfortunately without extra income from Ben this is financially a struggle for his families while maintaining the regular costs of living and we are asking for assistance so that we can all be close to him.
Father, son, brother, partner, friend, work mate; Ben is a lot of things to a lot of different people and right now urgently needs support for his family to be able to be with him in Brisbane and for his long term.
Whether you are able to donate financially or not we ask that you please include him and his family in your prayers.
Many thanks.
