Cinthia and Brandon were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first son, Braxton, when everything changed in an instant.
At just 27 weeks pregnant, Cinthia was admitted to the hospital with severe preeclampsia. Shortly after, she experienced a placental abruption, and doctors rushed her into an emergency C-section to save both her life and Braxton’s. In a moment no parent is ever prepared for, their son entered the world far earlier than expected.
Braxton is currently in the NICU and, thankfully, is doing well. However, babies born this early face a long and uncertain road ahead and require extensive, around-the-clock medical care. While Cinthia focuses on healing and Brandon spends his days by their son’s side, the emotional, physical, and financial weight of this situation is overwhelming.
