Support for Our Friend Annette Swift

Our friend Annette Swift is going through an incredibly difficult time and needs our support.

Annette has been living with Stage 4 kidney failure and has spent the past four and a half years on the transplant waiting list while undergoing regular dialysis. Through it all, she’s stayed strong and hopeful.

Less than two weeks ago, doctors discovered a golf ball-sized tumor in her brain. It had shifted her brain by 11mm and was affecting her vision and the left side of her body. On May 5, Annette underwent major brain surgery, and doctors were able to remove about 85% of the mass. After the procedure, the tumor was confirmed to be cancerous.

Annette is now in the early stages of recovery, sleeping often as her brain heals. She will eventually need to relearn how to walk and regain her strength. Chemotherapy will be part of her treatment plan moving forward. On May 14, she was able to say a few words—an encouraging sign of progress.

Her husband, Allen, deeply appreciates any and all support during this time—whether it’s through donations, prayers, or simply helping to spread the word.

Annette is also deeply loved by her work family at the Riverside County Assessor-Clerk-Recorder’s Office.
