My name is Meg and I have set up this GoFundMe to assist my friend and her family. * Due to safety concerns the names have been changed. * Selena and Michael are a young married couple with 2 children aged 3 and 1. Due to health conditions both their young children require special care which Selena has been doing all on her own. Michael who was the main source of the family's income was taken by ICE on December 2nd and held at Delaney Hall detention center until most recently being transferred to New Mexico. Michael has no criminal record and was working full time to provide for his wife and children. Selena is a United State citizen however is currently unable to seek employment as she must take care of her two children on her own. What is happening to far too many immigrants in this country is unconscionable and the struggles that they have to face just to keep going every day is unimaginable. We are asking for support to help pay for housing costs, utility costs food, and legal fees. At this time it seems as though Michael is eligible to be released on bond however the lawyer fees to pursue that are quite high. Please help support this family survive during this difficult time and help them be reunited.
